We wouldn’ t keep an open channel of access to us for a stranger on the internet, yet many who practice spirit communication will do just that with spirits they encounter. We do this by, for example, not closing spirit communication sessions or inviting spirits to continue to talk with us.
Many spirits are nice, funny, imperfect beings, just like us living humans. However, some are parasitic, deceptive, malevolent, and simply don’ t have our best interests at heart.
Once again, just like the living. The hook that is often used to keep us coming back involves appealing to our sympathies. This could take the form of spirits that present as someone you want to help and protect, like a child, or those that claim they need your help – and your help alone.

While we can have lovely experiences talking with spirits and can cultivate long-term connection with those we know and trust like our loved ones and venerated ancestors and even spirits in spaces we spend a lot of time in, boundaries and common sense are important.

When you practice spirit communication in a new location, for example, commit to ending the session in the same way you would end a conversation with a new, living acquaintance.
