It’ s my belief that spirits are around us all the time. Once you learn to connect, you tend to realize that they veil is always thin... and the spirit world is way weirder and more wonderful than we initially thought!
WISDOM & SELF-GROWTH
As we head into another“ spooky season” where you might be dipping your toes into talking to spirits for the first time, here is some practical advice to support you on your journey.
In my work as a professional medium and teacher, I find that people who are interested in spirit communication often fall into two categories.
1. Those who want to learn, but are scared to“ open that door”
2. Those who want to learn and don’ t think twice about what could happen if they leave the door open!
An important lesson for both is that cultivating healthy boundaries allows us to both open up to opportunities for connection and stay safe.
I have developed a lighthearted approach to spirit communication, but I have also learned that not all spirits are friendly. I am often sought out by those who are grappling with matters around pestering spirits, spirits who wind up being different than they originally present, and concerns about spiritual attachments.
Each situation is different and requires a nuanced approach, but there is always a solution. As with most things in life, the best solution is to be proactive and remember that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Practicing spirit communication can often feel like wading deep into an online conversation. You may get a name, identifiers, and some background story … but it’ s all shaped by what the individual chooses to share and our minds and emotions tend to fill in the blanks.
