Think of it as the anchor of your plate and be sure to include at least a palm-sized portion at every meal.

Vegetables( and fruits) are loaded with fiber, vitamins, and minerals that your body craves. Fiber keeps your digestion running smoothly, helps balance blood sugar, and keeps you feeling fuller longer. Colorful vegetables also give your body the nutrients it needs to reduce inflammation and boost your immune system.
Fruits and vegetables should make up half of your diet every day. If that’ s a stretch for you right now, start by adding in one or two portions per day and increase slowly from there.
Carbs often get a bad rap, but they’ re actually a necessary source of energy, especially for your brain. Having a moderate portion of healthy carbs with every meal gives you steady energy instead of a quick spike and crash. Plus, they’ re full of important vitamins and minerals that strengthen your immune system and protect against disease.
Choose whole-food, complex carbs, like quinoa, sweet potatoes, brown rice, and oats, over processed, convenience foods like white flour and sugar.
When you nourish yourself by ADDING IN what your body is hungry for, you create a lifestyle that’ s not about willpower or restriction. It’ s about feeling good in your body and bursting with energy. When you feel good, releasing weight and building confidence happens naturally.
