And yet... we second-guess it. A lot.
Why do we second-guess our intuition?
Because we live in a world that prioritizes logic, speed, and tangible proof. From day one, we’ ve been trained to favor intellect over intuition, even when our inner voice is waving a big ol’ intuitive red flag. We override that knowing with thoughts like,“ Well, that doesn’ t make sense,” or“ That’ s not logical,” or“ But this is more convenient.”
Let me take you on a quick humorous trip to illustrate.
 The gas station debacle
Years ago, I was driving on a busy road when I saw three gas stations ahead. The first one was the closest and completely empty. Perfect, right?
But then— hello— intuition kicked in:“ Skip that gas station. Go to the next one.”
I questioned it,“ Why? It’ s right here, and there’ s no wait!”
 Intuition calmly repeated,“ Skip it.”
Did I listen? Nope. I rolled in, thinking I was making a practical decision... until the broken gas pump sprayed fuel all over my hands.
I marched inside to clean up, only to be told there was no public bathroom. I had to buy a bottle of water just to rinse off my hands in the parking lot.
Realizing how much time second-guessing just cost me, I had a lightbulb moment:“ It’ s not rocket science. Just follow your intuition.”
 What is intuition?
Intuition is your inner guidance system. It’ s how your subconscious and higher awareness send messages to help you navigate life with more clarity. It’ s body and soul teamwork. It’ s often subtle, but unmistakable when you learn to recognize it.
Here’ s how it might show up:
 • An inner“ knowing”
 • A flash of an image or symbol in your mind
 • A calm and supportive voice or phrase that you“ hear” internally
 • A sense of peace— or conversely, discomfort— about a choice
 • A dream that gives you helpful information
 • Synchronicities that align you on your life path
 • When a person gives you guidance that is exactly what you need in the moment
 • A deep feeling of being lovingly guided in conjunction with your purpose or next steps
