Instead, focus on movement that fits your life and feels good in your body:
• Take a morning walk before the day heats up
• Swim in a cool pool
• Hike in the shade
• Do a quick strength workout indoors
• Take a bike ride or walk on the beach
• Explore a new town on foot
When you’ re traveling or out of your normal routine, look for natural ways to stay active.
Movement doesn’ t have to be intense to be effective. Even small steps throughout the day add up. Gently movement supports your mood, boosts your energy, aids digestion, and helps keep your metabolism working efficiently.
And in midlife, maintaining strength and muscle becomes even more important for overall health and longevity.
The key is consistency, not perfection.
Choose movement you actually enjoy and something you look forward to instead of something you dread.

The problem isn’ t the occasional indulgence. It’ s the cycle of restriction, followed by overdoing it, then feeling guilty afterward.
