your body restores and resets. And lack of sleep can mess with hunger hormones, trigger cravings, and weaken your immune system.
Making sure you get your seven to eight hours every night should be a non-negotiable self-care practice. Don’ t stay up late getting chores done, etc. Set a hard stopping time and stick to it. Don’ t worry, all that stuff will still be there waiting for you the next morning! You’ ll wake up refreshed, clear-headed, and ready to actually enjoy the season, not just survive it.
Take Time for You
Creating small moments of calm is so important. If you’ re tired and worn out, you’ re not able to be the best version of yourself. When you take a few moments to recharge you’ ll be more peaceful, resilient, and fully present with your friends and family.
Learn to Say“ No”
Start by setting boundaries. You don’ t have to say yes to every event or do everything yourself. Protecting your energy will allow you to show up more fully for the things, and people that really matter.
Release Guilt
No one is perfect. If you overdo it – and we all do – don’ t let that derail you. Health isn’ t allor-nothing. It’ s a lifelong journey full of ebbs and flows.
Take a breath, show yourself compassion, and simply start again. One off day doesn’ t undo all your progress. What matters most is consistency and compassion over time. By showing your body love and attention all season long, you can feel light, strong, and proud of how you’ ve cared for yourself.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
Here are a few easy strategies to stay grounded, present, and peaceful:
• Breathe deeply. Inhale into your belly, exhale slowly, and feel your body settle.
• Take little time-outs. Pause between errands or events instead of rushing from one to the next.
• Sip herbal tea. Swap your afternoon coffee for something soothing like chamomile, peppermint, or rooibos.
• Schedule self-care. A hot bath, a massage, a walk alone, or a quiet hour with a book can go a long way in helping you recharge.
