Here are three ways to begin that practice:

1. Schedule intentional pauses.

Instead of waiting until you crash, block 10 – 15 minutes in your calendar each day just to be. No phone. No tasks. No distractions.
Let it be a sacred space to check in with yourself. Ask:“ How am I really feeling?” One client of mine began doing this during her lunch break and said it helped her reconnect with her body and reduce her anxiety.
You can sit with your hand on your heart. You can breathe. You can cry if you need to. The goal isn’ t to fix anything— only to feel. These tiny moments of stillness help you build a deeper relationship with your inner wisdom.

2. Ask yourself daily:“ What can I release today?”

We carry so much— emotionally, mentally, even energetically. Let this question be your daily check-in. Release doesn’ t have to be dramatic. It might be an old belief, a lingering to-do list, or a conversation that left you feeling off.
If you’ d like, write it down on paper. Breathe into it. Then shred it, burn it( safely), or simply say aloud,“ I release this with love.” This small ritual helps lighten your emotional load and remind your nervous system that it’ s safe to let go.

3. Practice receiving.

Many of us are skilled at giving but uncomfortable with receiving. Whether it’ s help, a compliment, a kind gesture, or even divine guidance— receiving requires softness. It requires us to release control and allow life( and others) to meet us with grace.
