Lie # 1: In order to have peace & harmony, you just have to be nice, suck it up, stay quiet and make everyone else happy.
False!!! No matter what you have been told before, you“ pleasing” everyone is NEVER going to create peace and harmony. It can’ t possibly! Because, when you are just being“ nice” and sucking it up, you are miserable and not being your authentic self.
Listen, no one BUILDS UP a relationship with someone that they are just“ pleasing”. You don’ t feel CLOSER to someone after giving in and it works the same way for the people who have been pleasing you.
It’ s a LIE that you need to be nice, suck it up, stay quiet and make everyone else happy. I know, this has been taught to us for generations. We have all been conditioned to do this … but that was a low-level tactic for a lower mindset time. It simply does not work in today’ s world.
Today, all humans are equal( whether people acknowledge that or not) and no one has to be the pre-determined loser( give-in) in every win-lose situation. So, STOP pleasing!
Before you get all,“ I’ m gonna stop pleasing everyone and finally speak out and get things my way now”... hold on a minute.
