The Medicine Woman is re-emerging . For centuries , across many cultures , the medicine woman was suppressed , condemned , punished , distorted , and eventually forgotten as patriarchal systems dominated and denied the value of the feminine . Authority judged and placed women as inferior to men . The heart of feminine power was forgotten and even women forgot to see themselves as powerful .
