No amount of fame, achievement or acquisition will ever fill the void or allow you to experience true success. That myth is why we’re always shocked when we hear of the suicide of the beaming celebrity who appeared to have it all – or the beaming mom down the street with the handsome husband and the perfect children. WISDOM & SELF-GROWTH It’s not that we don’t want to have dreams. In fact, my Yes to Success program is all about ways to have your dreams come true. But if we think that the attainment of something is going to lead to fulfillment or happiness or lasting feelings of success, I promise you, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. The fun and deeply fulfilling part is the journey and enjoying and celebrating every day and all the little success along the way – your first client, your signage going up, your first sale, creating your website, your first hire…but if you don’t know to celebrate along the way, you might never have the joy of that on-going fulfillment. The second key ingredient for true success is listening to your intuition, that inner voice that speaks to you through your heart. Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, the #1 bestselling success book of all times said that listening to his intuition, which he called “getting guidance from infinite intelligence” was one of the major ingredients in his success. He said that when you depend on the rational or reasoning mind, it often leads you 21
