We were in the beginning stages of the coronavirus pandemic and the suggestion of social distancing had just started. I had gone hiking for the day and asked Spirit / Universe for guidance on how to help people through the fear that I could already feel intensifying. One thing that I know works when we feel out-of-control or in fear is being of service … doing something for someone else. Later that evening, an owl spoke (hooted) at me – although this might sound crazy to some, this is my normal – and I knew that I would get the clarity and the wisdom I was asking for. I awoke at four o’clock the next morning knowing what I needed to do: Create a community where people could be of service in a variety of forms. They could be a Giver and help support people’s basic needs. They could be a Receiver and get the food and supplies they needed. They could be a Donator and give money to fund the needs of the community. And they could be a Lighthouse and shine their Light by sending love, prayers, and energy, as well as visualizing and meditating on the Healing of Humanity. What is the purpose of the Hearts Helping Humanity community? The purpose of the community truly is to bring humanity together, to be of service to “...These BIG and little acts of kindness are restoring people’s faith in humanity.” How did the inspiration for the Hearts Helping Humanity community come to you? – SUNNY DAWN JOHNSTON those in need. Needs show up in a variety of ways. It may be a physical need as in food and basic household goods; an emotional or mental need that they can get filled by having positive messages, love and affirmations sent their way; it may be a financial need, and we can offer some sense of security; it may be the need for spiritual support, to receive the energy of possibility and hope and the reminder that we are all in this together. And, it may be, like it is in my case, the need to DO something to direct our powerful energy towards good. Why has creating and providing support through this outreach program been so deeply important to you? Thirty years ago, I was a single mom on food stamps and welfare, barely surviving life’s challenges, not having a lot of my basic needs met and struggling to feel worthy and valuable enough to receive any help.
