The Magic of 5-10 Minutes

I decided to challenge myself to do something for 5- to 10-minutes a day that I loved to do and that had a high chance of getting me into flow. For me, that was writing. Although I loved my work as an intuitive coach and workshop facilitator, it had been years since I had spent time writing just for the joy of it. At first, I didn’ t tell anyone I was doing this. It felt radical and silly all at the same time. I called it my 28-Day Flow Challenge.

After a few days of writing every day, I was amazed by how much better I felt. I was filled with a renewed sense of purpose. I told a few friends, inviting them to join me.
“ Choose your own activity,”
I said.
“ Do something that you love to do, that has a high chance of getting you into flow.”
I started sharing my 28-Day Flow Challenge on social media, sending out daily emails, and hosting zoom calls.
I would send out gentle reminders:
“ Keep it simple, something you can do every day. If you skip a day, that’ s oka y.”
“ Don’ t worry about doing it perfectly or getting into flow every time. Just have fun.”
The last thing we wanted to do was to give ourselves another reason why we aren’ t measuring up. The outer world gives us enough of those.
